New single also recruits Rupert Grint for the visuals in a musically okay song
Ed Sheeran continues to parade his sound, this time wrapped in a pop-blues style bite of music. Once again, he recruits Rupert Grint for the music video as the clock ticks in anticipation for the arrival of his new album: Play.
A Little More Sounds Different
The production incorporates a gentle sound of trumpets and strings, while Sheeran employs the services of Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, a kind of semi-sequel to Lego House. The music video is directed by Emil Nava.

The instrumentals provide an airy and lighter version of the English singer-songwriter as he commits to a full on catchy melody.
Through sardonic lyricism, the musician provides a vague narrative that pushes the listener into questioning who he’s actually talking about. This becomes clear when you watch the music video.
The Verdict
As a fluffy and ‘grow on you later’ type song, it’s okay. It has wings to breathe, but ultimately isn’t anything to write home about — though I don’t hate it either. If anything, it’s another facet of varied sound that Sheeran is clearly priming us for.
Streaming
The music video is available via YouTube, while the song is listed as part of his forthcoming album Play, on all major streaming platforms.
