Rapper French The Kid (real name Taidgh Moriarty) has returned with a new album titled Can’t Kill Bill, where the bilingual lyricist works across a canvas of music inspired by his personal life and more. Setting the scene with “Wonderland (Highs & Lows)”, French uses this as a prelude to the album’s lead single, “Cocaine Clouds,” which he recently dropped visuals for setting the tone for some of the best UK rap right now.

Can’t Kill Bill: What It Sounds Like

The album taps into the personal trials the artist has sadly experienced, such as the passing of his brother and the grief that followed. Known for effortlessly switching between French and English, on Can’t Kill Bill, the Kid mostly stays focused on the latter except for “Vanille Ciggerette”.

The spitter has drummed up interest from a wide range of music lovers, thanks to rhythms anchored in melancholy, an air of uncertainty, and pain that Moriarty pushes through to deliver one of his most personal works to date.
