Cameron Lew’s band drops new single alongside fresh music video, ahead of September album.
The solo efforts of Cameron Lew are to be ramped up on a new project with his band ‘Ginger Root’ revealing a new album titled “SHINBANGUMI” is on the way.
Following in the same vein as his one man band endeavours, the instrumentalist revealed that “it is exactly what Ginger Root should sound and feel like”.
In a statement via his label Ghostly International, Lew said “In terms of instrumentation and musicality, it’s the first time that I felt very confident and comfortable with what everything should be comprised of. On the more personal side, I’m coming out of the last four years of writing, touring, and living as a different person; SHINBANGUMI is a platform to showcase my new self.”
New song previews forthcoming album
“No Problems” is the lead promotional single for the upcoming album, which we can assume will lead the vibe for its release. It heavily leans on a parade of synths and a bass laden jolly volley of a trademark sound, which Lee says is a “crunchy lo-fi space”.
The album is due to be released on the 13th September 2024.
