ROSÉ & Bruno Mars Excite Fans With New Single ‘APT.’

The K-pop singer offers a glimpse of her upcoming album, ‘Rosie’, to the delight of fans everywhere.

Singer-songwriter ROSÉ returns to hype up her debut album with the release of new song ‘APT.’, a playful and pacy duet with Bruno Mars. It features all the elements one could want from the duo, as they excite fans with their signature sounds.

With a balance of punk meets pop, its carefree irreverent mix is a satisfying blend for all tastes. Overlapping styles with her American counterpart, the tune embraces the stylistic identity of both musicians.

Rising Star

The singer has been carefully planning her next moves, spending three years away from the camaraderie of her K-Pop group, BLACKPINK. During this time, she released her first solo project, ‘R’, which includes the singles ‘Gone’ and ‘On the Ground.’

Born as Roseanne Park in New Zealand, she later moved to Australia before auditioning for the girl group in 2012. In 2016, she was unveiled as a member of the South Korean pop band.

Having teased her listeners for some time, she announced her debut LP to fans on social media. Since BP’s break, rumours circulated regarding a solo career and a desire to launch her own company.

The ‘Grenade’ singer has been busy himself, following a run of collaborative projects, most notably with Anderson .Paak for their ‘Silk Sonic’ project.

The music video is directed by Bruno Mars and Daniel Ramos.

What Is The Song About?

The new song was initially teased on social media, catching the eye of avid listeners everywhere.

Inspired by a Korean game, the single explains a bewildering post shared by Mars on Instagram. In it, he said: “Soon after, she tried to kiss me, and I was like “woah Rosie! what part of the game is this?” She was like, “I ain’t playin games wit you anymore lil boy! Big Rosie bout that BIDNESS!” Shaken, I replied “stop Rosie, I’m scared!” But other than that, super chill night.”

Following the song’s release, context emerged, and the rest is history.

When Is The Album Released?

Her debut album titled, ‘Rosie’, is set to be released December 6th via Atlantic Records and The Black Label. Not only is it her debut long play, but she has co-authored and produced each track.
