Will Smith has faces sexual harassment allegations in new civil lawsuit
Will Smith has been accused of sexual harassment by his former tour violinist Brian King Joseph. The claimant says his contract was wrongfully terminated after he reported a hotel safety incident whilst working in the rapperโs Based on a True Story 2025 tour.
The musician and rapper first met in 2024, after which Joseph claims he made inappropriate comments towards him he interpreted as intimate suggestions.
The Lawsuit
King says he was unfairly dismissed after reporting a hotel safety incident. The papers indicate he faced retaliation, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination, and also includes allegations that Will Smith was โgroomingโ him.

These accusations are part of a civil lawsuit and are yet to be tested in court.
Court documents reveal that King returned to his hotel room booked by the rapperโs management team to see a suggestive message, wipes, HIV medication bearing another persons name, including hospital paperwork. A beer bottle was also among the items.
The intrusion to Smithโs management team, hotel staff, and security. Following the incident, King says he was unlawfully dismissed and replaced.
The suit claims for wrongful termination, sexual harassment, intimidation, violations of employment law, and retaliation. He is seeking damages for emotional distress, reputational harm, and PTSD as a result.
