Following the release of his album 2000 last summer, rapper Joey Badass preps fans for a series of promotional appearances, including one for his upcoming tour with Wiz Khalifa.
In an artistically storyboarded video, Badass, real name Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, can be seen falling into a bed in slow motion encapsulating the idea for what it means to fall in love.
Boasting the slow burn of anticipation for the many facets of emotion it entails, his latest brings home the fact that he is born in the wrong era, though with an air of individualistic style. In a woodland music industry being logged to death, having artists such as Badass around is far from complimentary, but fresh. It is inevitable his sharp artistry will cut through the noise and Hip-Hop’s anomaly is doing it once again swiping swords through the muck.
Joey Badass will be touring the US and will also make an appearance at Glastonbury.
