Pop juggernaut Carly Rae Jepsen’s latest album Day and Night is finally here
As Carly Rae Jepsen unveils her new album, Day and Night, the pop captain of industry has dropped an equally riveting track, “Versailles”, produced by Kapari, alongside a glitchy, baroque-style music video directed by Kanya Iwana.
The Music Process
Taken from the “day” portion of her latest project, “Versailles” is inspired by Sofia Coppola’s film Marie Antoinette, and features visuals of opulence against a song focused on unrestrained moments spent enjoying time with the one you love.
Day and Night has been in the works for almost three years, possibly longer. According to the artist, the final product was not intentional, but an unintended happenstance: “I don’t even know if I set out to make a double album, it just started to become what I was creating.”
After an extensive album rollout, Jepsen’s stacked project is finally here and offers fans another reason to keep loving her work.
