Converse shoes set to drop the LP BL OX ballet sneaker

Converse has announced what they call a low-profile Chuck Taylor-inspired “balletcore” sneaker. Set to release in a striking feminine design. A polyester satin composition replaces the company’s traditional canvas material.

What You Need To Know

Its unconventional look can be mistaken for a slider or sandal, with its branding being the only clear differentiator.

In place of a classic canvas, it features a glossy satin upper with detachable cotton-satin ribbons for a ballet-style lacing system. If that displeases you, there’s a hidden elastic gore panel for a slip-on fit.

Composition

  • Material: Glossy satin upper
  • Upper: Polyester satin
  • Ribbon straps: Detachable cotton-satin tape
  • Outsole: Rubber
  • Hidden fit panel: Elastic gore band (synthetic elastic)
  • Manufactured in Cambodia
  • Colorway: Triple black (monochrome).

Release and Pricing

  • Japan: February 13th 2026
  • Price: ¥9,900 JPY (approximately $65 USD)
