Here we go again, Ice Spice is plying her trade with a new single. Pretty Privilege is her new drop produced by Thomas Carmona.
Review: A Limited Effort
There is no way that this will survive the test of time, let alone an atom’s weight of chart success. Pretty Privilege sounds like a sad, like stale chicken nugget.

Whatever fragments of integrity exist—if any remain—are holed up at a public relations company, not in the studio.
From the gaudy production, to the hackneyed lyrics, the proof is in the pudding:
“I’m a bad b**ch, you can’t smash this
They say, “Baby girl, you fabulous”
“Everyone so into you”
Oh, you a munch, I’m feeling you” — Ice Spice
Originality is extinct here; it’s delivered so blasé that it feels like it shouldn’t have been released in the first place.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall at Capitol Records when they approved this. The label has truly slipped into a chasm of failed scouting. The only talent that is flourishing on this song, is unacceptability and the gall to release it.
With little thought put into this track, it’s hard to imagine who might listen to it, if anyone at all.
If any such fanbase exists—and apparently 300,000 views says yes—there is no hope for humanity. What a sad state of affairs, and we wonder why hip-hop has failed to chart. It sounds just like a slow fart struggling to pass against wind blowing in the opposite direction.
The Verdict
There’s no other way to say this, but everything from the production to the lyrics screams low quality, banal, and routine. Honestly, sometimes I feel like I’m living in the twilight zone.
