Stories and questions for the world collide in an inspiring hip-hop collaboration.
Threaded through a humid atmosphere of hygge like vibes, the rapper’s partnership with singer Mazey June is a refreshing ballad of hip-hop meets the blues.
With decisive rumination of yesteryears, the two artists reminisce in song about the difficulties of life and how it can bring down the strong. ‘Days Like This’ can be described as a Sunday afternoon painted with a palette of pressing ideas; ones we can all relate to. June remedies the chorus with vocals that embody retrospect and the anxiety of what is to come.
The song was brought together by the notion of uncertainty
Isaiah Dread’s calculated flow is an exactingly wistful memorandum of a mind with much on it. The rapper shared a statement on Instagram about the song and his motivations for writing it: “I wrote this one at the start of the year. I had a lot on my heart and mind so it was my way of understanding certain thoughts I had.
The reflection put things into perspective. Mazey really helped me paint a picture with her words & energy. She freestyled her hook & we used the first take.”
