An attack launched on the city of Hodeidah.m has left many without power.
Israel has launched air strikes on Yemen in response to attacks by the de-facto government led by the Houthis.
The Tel-Aviv regime claimed they were responding to missiles launched yesterday at Ben Gurion Airport by groups from inside the country.
Utility Facilities Destroyed
The military attacked multiple targets including seaport facilities, power plants and oil tankers at Ras Issa and Hodeidah city ports. Residents reported major power outages lasting hours.
Since late last year, Houthis have launched several attacks on Israeli linked ships in the Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait what they say is a show of solidarity with Palestine.
Israeli Army Statement
In a statement, the Israeli military said: “Over the past year, the Houthis have been operating under the direction and funding of Iran, and in cooperation with Iraqi militias, in order to attack the State of Israel, undermine regional stability, and disrupt global freedom of navigation”.
They also claim the targets were “used by the Houthis to transfer Iranian weapons to the region, in addition to military supplies and oil”.
They finished by stating they will attack anyone “near or far” should they perceive a threat.
Houthi authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
