Currently, the only journalists operating in the area are Palestinian journalists, and Israel may claim that they have a history of fabricating evidence to mitigate potential implications of the Al Ahli Arab Hospital bombing.
Hamas Audio Faked According to Channel 4 News
Since the release of alleged Hamas audio related to a failed rocket attack on a hospital, several linguists have told Channel 4 News that the dialect, language, and idiomatic expressions used are deemed “absurd,” according to Alex Thomson, the chief correspondent for the news outlet. They have concluded that the audio was fabricated due to numerous language inconsistencies.
A History of War Crimes
Israel had previously issued an evacuation order that encompassed hospitals and schools, suggesting the possibility of targeting protected areas. The Tel Aviv government’s ban on the entry of medicines, electricity, and food is already regarded as a war crime. Additionally, the bombing of water infrastructure further underscores its disregard for international law.
Hospitals have been targeted in the past with virtually no consequences for the Israeli administration. Furthermore, the Israeli army has also attacked several other medical facilities, including the Al-Quds Hospital, in many other incidents.
In addition to hospitals and schools, the Gaza assault under the leadership of Netanyahu has also aimed at paramedics, including ambulances, and detained health workers involved in patient transport in breach of international law.

In line with restrictions on journalist access to the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera has been banned by the attorney general, further limiting the involvement of independent bodies in reporting on the situation.
A spokesperson for the Netanyahu-led government said that the images of dead Palestinians were “fabricated”. Anna Botting of Sky News asked: “Are the devastating images from Gaza fabrications as the government suggests?” to which government advisor Mark Regev said: “And in Mosul, there weren’t difficult pictures as well. War is very very difficult.”
Israeli officials backtrack
Earlier, a government official released footage of rockets being launched from Gaza, with one misfiring. It was later verified that the footage was from older documentation and not related to the hospital bombing. The tweet was subsequently deleted.
A prominent freelance journalist, Hananya Naftali, who has close ties to the Israeli regime, was in a privileged position to receive government information. In a now-retracted and deleted tweet, he initially asserted that the Israeli government struck the hospital, alleging it was a “terrorist base.”
In an interview with the Jewish News Syndicate, Naftali is quoted as saying “It was the first time I had met him (Netanyahu), and months later they asked me to join his team. When you’re 22 and the prime minister offers you a job, you don’t say no. I guess they liked me. So, that’s how I got into this political world.”
