‘Champagne Dinners’ Triple Slams New Hip-Hop for High-Standards

Jay Royale, Guy Grams, and Raf Almighty rap-saddle up over a Ray Sosa bomb beat

As cliche as it sounds: are you looking for real hip-hop? Jay Royale, Guy Grams, and Raf Almighty drop their explosive new song Champagne Dinners.

Keeping in tune with the trio’s signature loop of haunting music, the crew pummel the production with rhymes of an exquisite nature.

Champagne Dinner Is An Arc of Rap Talent

The textural finish to this beat by Ray Sosa is absolutely crazy. Cycling coils of string samples fold around the track through a significant atmosphere. It’s emboldened by commanding snares and hi-hats — a symbol of potency and strength.

Dangling the rap carrot over listeners’ heads is a prerequisite for these three, who continue to (possibly) tease a collaborative album.

In the UK, we’re experiencing the same troubles as our counterparts: an unruly use of the genre’s title, with filler tracks palmed off as complete projects.

However, there’s a silver lining to this — it’s far easier to seek out quality, if you walk the right circles.

Champagne Dinners is a classic example of this — discovering gems in the wild with an artistic chef’s kiss. Each verse lets loose a traction of bold-calibre lines, packed full of dispositions frequented by fluid passages exclaimed to the highest degree.

Guy Grams implements a delicatessen of flawless head bopping lyrics that, when paired with his peers, are a dowsing rod for dope direction. Raf does equally well to calibrate both his verse and hook from the moment he grabs the mic. Royale remains within his sphere of influence, spreading cold breeze into the air, augmenting his special brew of lyrical heroism.

The clique slam the drums of war, detailing a life of luxury, seeking to avoid a “9 to 5” job. Impossible to imagine given their poetic fortitude.

The Verdict

It’s all over. They’re just trickle feeding fans breadcrumbs to good measure. It’s obvious there’s something coming, no? I could be wrong. If not, then I’ll collect these singles into my own album playlist.

You’re guaranteed a banging tune with these guys and it’s not just hip-hop to them, but an art form.

Credit to the producer Sosa, he’s up there swashbuckling with elite beat makers.
