Russian-based producer Øneheart reveals new single, “internetisNOTsafe” alongside fresh visuals

Following an impressive run of form, the unmistakable production powerhouse known as Øneheart unleashes a new track, “internetisNOTsafe”. Having collaborated with Moby, he now seeks to continue this consistency with his vivid signature sound. The music maker is known for his catalogue of varying sounds, from the ethereal to downright electronic party anthems — and this time is no different.

The Russian-born composer (real name Dmitry Volynkin) says “internetisNOTsafe” is personal, following the internet’s rapid transformation from a place of discovery into a mural of vitriol and disconnectedness.

The musician explains that his new song “…captures the point where my relationship with the internet completely changed”. He continues: “What once felt like a place to discover music, reinvent myself and connect with people slowly became a source of anxiety and disappointment.”

This sentiment — one shared by millions — makes the new single, for many, a canvas of validation. A complementary music video reiterates this feeling through chaotic scenes and motifs of disjointedness. Øneheart’s moves beyond pigeonholed categories towards an open platform of genre-fluid mystique. His intriguing new effort is not afraid to tread new ground as he dances to his own tune and creates one for the masses with an artistic twist.
