Kenzo Str8Drop ups the ante with a melting carbon rod of bars, courtesy of a mouthful of fire. His new track, “Who Needs Enemies?“, is a simmering work of slick rap thanks to foundational production from Kong, and is a follow-up to his hard, bass-lit Manchester anthem, “Opp Weather“, both taken from his upcoming album, Hood Exit. Kenzo is moving with intent, resolved to make sure the game remembers him and that his work moves beyond the fog of saturation. If this album doesn’t at least hit the top ten, then we know the average music lover’s palate is undeserving.
