Drake’s Newest Release Has Dropped: Stream the Full Album Here
Drake dropped hints about an upcoming album at a concert he held at the Apollo Theater, suggesting his desire to stir up stronger emotions in his music for the year. It’s worth noting that he also addressed some less-than-enthusiastic reactions to his recent albums, all while pledging to keep churning out music for his loyal fans.
Consistency is often considered crucial for a successful career, but in the music industry, where consumers quickly seek novelty and change, maintaining consistency can be a double-edged sword. Take Drake, for instance, who has released a significant number of albums, albeit, severely lacking in quality. While some have been well-received, many releases have faced criticism for falling short of expectations.

The announcement in June of his poetry book, “Titles Ruin Everything,” co-written with songwriter Kenza Samir, followed a summer’s worth of teasers. Curiously, an advertisement in the New York Post featured a QR code that, when scanned, led to a page with two puppies and a rather cryptic message about an album to be released and partnered with the book. While this is characteristic of Drake, who has mastered the art of hype he has a long way to go to hone his skills as a lyricist.
The album’s official title was later confirmed by OVO and Republic, but despite initial buzz about collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny, it finally landed a release date for September 22. Drake even shared a trailer featuring a throwback performance by his father. On September 15, 2023, Drake released the lead single, “Slime You Out,” featuring SZA, which swiftly climbed the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Still, it’s hard not to wonder if the album will truly live up to the hype, especially as its release was pushed back two weeks to October 6, with the second single, “8AM in Charlotte,” and the tracklist unveiled. You can make up your own mind now, though we will perhaps find another disposable Drizzy album.
