Nemahsis Drops Remarkable Song “Coloured Concrete”

The singer releases new music to roaring applause and announces debut album “Verbathim”.

Nemah Hasan has endured much this year. Despite being dropped by her label, 11 Acres, for her pro-Palestinian stance, the singer persevered.

Latest On Her Debut Album

Fast forward a few months and Nemahsis has released a new song titled “Coloured Concrete”. Billed as her final song before her album drops, she has well and truly marked her career with an award-winning body of work.

Her distinct vocals, stylistic choices and moorish music sets her apart from her contemporaries. As she goes from strength to strength, we welcome her new single as a promising preview to her debut long play.

This latest instalment of a well-curated music portfolio again sees Hasan employ choreographed movement against a backdrop of a minimalist set design.

As the percussion pounds like a coming of age soundtrack, the singer explores new feats of vocalisation. Letting out a wailing cry, she flips her usual style for one of exploration, damping any discussion of being a one trick pony.

Sinking into concrete as she reminisces of days gone by, the tempo increases. The song is an interpretation of the artist’s life growing up, and the longing for a lifestyle she was unable to have. The singer later proclaims “I figured it out,” to deep snares of a timeline soundtrack. Once more, the Canadian-Palestinian breaks ground, showing that her limits are yet to be found.

When Will the Album Be Released?

Her debut album ‘Verbathim’ is expected to be released independently on the 13th September.
