Princess Nokia – “Girls”
Princess Nokia continues to smash boundaries with her vulnerable, yet emotionally raw music. Her latest album Girls includes the single Blue Velvet.
Khalid — “after the sun goes down”
Khalid leans into a pop music sound with a texturally stitched work influenced by a the Y2K era among others. It’s a massive change for the artist, one that opens him up to a broader audience.
BIA — “Bianca”
This album is a feature heavy project with some gigantic names involved: Becky G, Young Miko, Ty Dolla $ign, Key Glock, Denzel Curry, A$AP Ferg, Tyler ICU, Khalil Harrison all make their appearance.
Alison Shearer — “In The Garden”
Alison Shearer’s world interweaves a sonically bold measure of contemporary jazz. She’s assembled a terrific ensemble of musicians capable of bringing her vision to life.
This new effort sees her tackle a range of tempos which she says are “odd meter earworms”.
In The Garden is a deeply personal body of work. In a statement the saxophonist said: “I’m ready to speak out and tell my story so other women in music can hopefully have a journey that’s a little bit easier.”
Mobb Deep — “Infinite”
Mobb Deep is back with new hip-hop. Infinite drops to curious minds and thirsty ears. The crew has been teasing an album for years, and with the passing of Prodigy more than a decade ago, fans were beginning to wonder what they can expect.
The Alchemist worked with Havoc to curate a selection of the late rapper’s vocals and includes appearances from Big Noyd, Raekwon, Ghostface, Clipse, Jorja Smith, H.E.R. for a fresh 15-track moreish rap experience.
