Scary Movie 6: The Wayans Brothers return with fearless, offensive comedy gold.

There’s nothing more enjoyable than a good slapstick comedy, and the news that “Scary Movie 6” is nearing release makes that even sweeter. Comedies are beginning to struggle to break through, but the true kings and queens of the genre are back. The Wayans Brothers are bringing the highly popular franchise back to the big screen, and it looks hilarious.

Parodies and The Plot

From the enduring “my germs” skit to Ray’s attempt to hump everything in sight, their formula for a top-notch night of side-splitting innuendos is sure to be worth the money. In the sixth instalment of Scary Movie, Cindy, Brenda, Shorty, and Ray return alongside legacy cast members as they once again attempt to flee the enigma of Ghost Face.

This time, the gang is set to parody a list of horror titles, including Sinners, Scream, Megan, IT, Get Out, Smile, Terrifier, The Substance, Ma, Longlegs, and Wednesday.

The Verdict

Hype-Meter

This is shaping up to be an extremely funny event. There are a few titles worth waiting for, and sometimes a dash of toilet humour can rebalance the uneven playing field of low-quality streaming titles. This is one of those gems — unapologetic at its core.

Production Details

Under the helm of Wayans Bros. Entertainment, in collaboration with Paramount Players, the film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man, Scary Movie 5)and written by Keenan Ivory Wayans, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans, and will be distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Release Date

Scary Movie 6 is scheduled to hit cinemas on the 12th June 2026 in a global theatrical release.
