What’s the Plot
The adaptation is a signal of intent for Marvel to cross over and explore alternative stories from the comic book franchise. This time, we see spidey take the reigns as an aging detective in 1930s New York City. Much of the plot is kept under wraps, though we know it will see him confront his past as the city’s only superhero.
Cast and Production Details
Dylan Riley-McArthur is set to direct the show that sees Nicholas Cage star as the webslinging detective. It will be his second comic-book character (two if you count Superman). Brendan Gleeson has also been enlisted to play a mob boss, while Lamorne Morris will play a journalist.
Karen Rodriguez, Li Jun Li, Abraham Popoola, and Jack Huston will act in support roles.
Release Date
The series is set to release next year (2026).
