Latest trailer for the upcoming 2026 movie sees a host of beloved Street Fighter characters go head-to-head
Capcom’s Street Fighter movie finally gets a trailer, and it’s so unserious, I’m in! Expecting anything short of fun for an eclectic and colourful set of characters is outlandish. Let’s jump in.
An Explosive Cast
If you’ve watched the 1990s anime movie, you’ll no doubt see a similarity between the two — and the cast augments that.
Street Fighter’s line up includes Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, 50 Cent (Balrog), Jason Mamoa (Blanka), and David Dastmalchian as M.Bison.
Other actors and actresses in the line-up include WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes as the US Army fighter Guile, Mel Jansen as Cammy, and Callina Liang, who takes on the role of Chun-Li.
The Plot
This time around, who am I kidding? There’s no this time around; the film sees Chun-Li recruit Ryu and Ken for the “World Warrior Tournament”. However, on top of an already exhaustive process, they must face off against a hidden conspiracy involving their past and go toe-to-toe.
Production Details and Release Date
Street Fighter is directed by Japanese-American filmmaker Kitao Sakurai. The film is produced by Capcom, Legendary Pictures and will be distributed exclusively to theatres by Paramount Pictures. it’s expected to hit cinemas on October 16th 2026.
