V Don and Crimeapple have dropped the music video for Scrape the Pot, the opening banger taken from their collaborative album, Bulletproof Chicken. Its this kind of hip-hop that keeps me energised for its art. Thanks to the production and delivery, we get exactly that.
Review and Verdict
Taken from their joint album, the two are chewing on beats and rhymes like a dog with a sofa, except they’re swallowing the couch whole. Thanks to a crazy composition by V Don, Crimeapple casually dismantles the right of the next rapper to get on the mic.
Featuring rolling snares and dramatic piano keys, the two fluently trade beats and bars with a soundtrack that, surely no one can disagree with. I’m definitely keeping my ear to the street for another project from these two.
