Alexander Skarsgård joins Olivia Colman in Black Bear’s upcoming comedy-fantasy film Wicker
Can you believe it? Wicker is an original film, not a reboot, but an entirely new story. The film follows Olivia Colman, who is tired of being picked on by locals for being unmarried. That is, until she meets Peter Dinklage, who creates a groom out of willow wicker for her to marry.
The man fashioned from willow turns out to be Alexander Skarsgård, who takes her on an erotic rollercoaster, splinters and all, as she destabilises her conservative town. Wicker also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Nabhaan Rizwan, and Richard E. Grant. The film is set to be released in cinemas via Black Bear on 30 October 2026 and is directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston Fischer.
