Opinion: Enough Is Enough — Israel Is Not a Member of the International Community
Last updated: September 21st 2025
Time is running out. Israel continues to bombard Gaza with an unlimited supply of weapons courtesy of the United States and the United Kingdom. Their assistance in providing Tel Aviv with unrestricted data and intelligence as to the whereabouts of not just Hamas fighters, but civilians — is a catastrophic breach of humanitarian law.
The arguments for and against this conflict are far beyond classifying it as such. Now, it doesn’t just leans into, but is squarely within the territory of, without question — genocide. The signs have been there for years, not just since October 7th, but for nearly 100 years.
History Repeats Itself
Failure to recognise the state of Palestine has led the Israeli regime to act with impunity. It’s as if its illegal settlements are exempt from comparison to atrocities carried out throughout history.
Do we not agree that the settlers’ slaughter of the native Americans was a genocide? The unprovoked murder of thousands of men, women and children who were killed in cold blood.
History is repeating itself: if we can all agree on this, then we can all see eye to eye now. The same dehumanising language is in action today with a chilling intensity.
The Knesset has long overstepped its boundaries. Because of this, the global community’s failure to keep them in check has allowed them to run riot with evil intent, heightened by the examples set by their European ancestors.
BREAKING NEWS: Palestine To Be Recognised In Full By UK Today
It’s clear that Israel is a rogue state. It has never been part of the international community. Proof of this is in the way they treat their guests, forcibly remove people from their own homes, land theft, motiveless executions, and so much more. If our government continues to support them, then they will not longer be part of it either.
Pressure Your Government
What can we do? We can do a lot. Pressure your Member of Parliament to take action and to hold the government ot account. We don’t have much time; it is now or never.
The simplest things we overlook can make a big impact. Contact your MP and make some noise.
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) offers resources to locate who your MP is, with an automatically generated template letter that will be sent to them. You can access these materials here.
Medical Aid for Palestinians offer the same service here.
