For almost $1,000, you can own your own Beyoncé-approved pine box to celebrate her birthday
Beyoncé has raised many an eyebrow with an invitation to celebrate her birthday. The invite? A solid-pine box for $948.01. That’s right, she needs that penny.
The Bey Keeper Collector’s Box
To celebrate her 45th birthday, Beyoncé launched her ‘Bey Keeper Collector’s Box’ on 4 September 2026 as part of the 20th anniversary of her B’Day album. It’s intended to store a collection of vinyl records for music fans released by the artist — records not included.

The strange price, however, is meant to encode her birthday: 9/4/81. The item is described as a limited-edition engraved product, with only 500 available. That doesn’t justify the price of such a low grade item and the fact the singer seeks to take advantage of her fans.
Fans Mock The Singer
It’s not just everyday people balking at the price, either. Beyoncé’s own fans have mocked it as an out-of-touch idea.
Fans have mocked her for its unserious nature, with redditors saying: “That decimal BETTER be in the wrong place,” and “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEYONCE BUT NOBODY BUYING THAT WOOD BOX TF.” Another social media user described it as a coffin for a hamster”, while another simply said “Girl”.
What’s more is that the box’s composition, and remember, this is a box we’re talking about — is pine. Not teak or oak, but pine! However, it is finished with beeswax oil, lined with green velvet and fitted with a faux-gator strap. So there’s that.
