FLO‘s revival of R&B continues with some MTV-like anthems and music videos to match. Fresh from the studio, the trio drop “Cry Ugly“, taken from their latest album, Therapy at the Club. Playing into themes of heartbreak and vulnerability, the crew augment the track with resilience, overcoming relationships through melodic deliveries.
Group members Renée Downer, Jorja Douglas, and Stella Quaresma saddle up for a track with all the offerings lovers of the genre could ask for, without having to take heavy barbiturates to get us through it. FLO remain the last guards at the gate, protecting us against mediocrity and the forces of musical swill.
