Rapper Eerf Evil documents the outcomes of marginalisation and youth culture on “Son of Pearl”
Eerf Evil returns with another track from his upcoming album, titled “Son of Pearl”. This time, his weapon of choice extends beyond his imagination and creative mind, into the terrifying podium of societal downfall, a performance the public apathetically defends.
A Message to Society
The rapper, known for his work through jazz-inspired hip-hop, has a penchant for skill of rap’s artistic backbone, evidenced by virtually every track he releases.
“Young black boy from the 90s”, the lyricist exclaims on a soundtrack which attests to the epoch of his upbringing. Over hypnotically wailing brass instruments and a textural mass of rolling snares, “Son of Pearl” tackles the fermenting and stringent excess of societal violence in a system that glorifies both gentrification and the insidious outcomes it delivers.
His stylistic sermon on the consequences of capitalist momentum and the ills of its world opens up the wounds of marginalisation’s capabilities. Joining Eerf is NEONE The Wonderer, whose vocals shore up the latest in a long tapestry of rap mosaics.
Album Release and London Show
His forthcoming album, It Could All Be So Simple, is out on 13 November 2026 on all streaming platforms. Eerf Evil is also performing his headline show at the Jazz Cafe, London, on 3 December 2026.
