Since the release of his last EP ‘Inside My Mind,’ the London-based vocalist/guitarist has gently dropped a trio of singles leading up to his new song ‘Cold Days.’ Featuring artwork that matches its intensity (similar to its predecessors), Hongza drives home his signature guitar work alongside a brace of enchanting vocals that pierce through the veil of uncertainty.
The theme explores elements that sidestep the unending loop of love and loneliness in music, and encroaches upon a songwriting skillset that is rarely chased within the craft.
It details the toxicity of a difficult period for the artist, filled with vivid narratives descriptive of what he underwent. He extrapolates its meaning in a comment where he says it “…is about a toxic relationship that I had with a person who was my employer and friend. The song is taken from his upcoming EP “Coming Of Age,” due for release September 27th.
