Popular Transformers collectible is now only available to buy via third party sellers

Transformers fan favourite Hot Rod has sold out in a matter of minutes following for pre-orders on the Hasbro website.
The toy company’s new Studio Series 86 figure is once again consigned to the listings of scalpers and hopefully, collectors get a piece of the limited run.

The new collectible, based on the character from the 1986 Transformers movie comes complete with a fishing rod, practice baton & shield, and blasters to recreate iconic scenes from the beloved story.
Unless you find it in the wild, there’s little chance it will retail again at the recommend price of £34.99.

Fans are obviously outraged, with one social media user saying, “I’m looking forward to not seeing this in stores”, while others lamented the fact that few copies are ever produced: “I’m getting fed up of limited runs, they never end up in the hands of those who enjoy the hobby”.
Shipping Date
The only way to get your hands on a copy will be to check third party sellers who are often assigned stock. The MTMTE model will ship on the 30th March 2026.
