Nas & DJ Premier beef up their Light-Years campaign with fresh, luxury visuals

While the rap game continues to debate who the greatest rapper of all time is, the GOAT is walking uninterrupted, still dropping fire like it’s 1993. Nas and DJ Premier‘s debut collaborative project, Light-Years, resurrects a classic sound with all the bells and whistles fans could want. Jones remains endowed with the seminal rush of his signature rhyme, bolstered with a bodacious style thanks to a musical recipe whipped up by Preemo. It’s a slick on-ramp, chock-full of dope style and fiery sonics, topped with chonky funk-laced bass and cowbells.

The duo dropped the first music video from their album for the song “GiT Ready,” in which the rapper represents smooth exploits that the two icons effortlessly exude. Without sounding too braggadocious, the hip-hop hitmen instead exude confidence through the conviction of their abilities. French director Jean-Charles Charavin directs the visuals for the new release.
