Nicki Minaj: Rapper’s Odd Relationship With Donald Trump Is Weird

Opinion: Rapper Nicki Minaj posts image of Trump’s Gold Card to social media latest bizarre support

Never in my life have I witnessed a person so far up another’s backside that it inspires genuine confusion. Nicki Minaj’s escapade with Donald Trump is a strange one indeed, but not surprising.

Nicki Minaj flashes Trump Gold Card.

With a fair few rappers out to promote the man with the eunuch neck, the Pink Friday rapper was not on my bingo card having immigrated to the United States illegally.

Support for the US President

The snivelling little weasel posted another oddity: the Trump fast-track immigration Gold Card, despite being a naturalised citizen herself.

Despite being a critic of the US president in the past, she called herself “Trump’s number one fan” and said:

“I don’t know what to say, but I will say that I am probably the president’s number one fan and that’s not going to change.”

Hard to believe, given she’s switched allegiances in quick succession, jettisoning any shred of self-respect:

“We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. He has a lot of force behind him and God is protecting him.”

Now it’s clear she’s lost her mind, with comments that are in fact more reflective of him than her criticisms. There’s little to unpack other than her motivations, and that could be one or one million things.

The Trump Gold Card

The Trump Gold Card was launched in December 2025 as a way to fast-track wealthy immigrants into the United States. To qualify, the tacky piece of administrative policy requires applicants to donate $1 million, as well as a $15,000 processing fee.

The rapper’s past comments criticised the government at a time when ICE raids have reached breaking point. In a social media post, Minaj said:

“And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more and it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more.”

“I can’t imagine the horror of being in a strange place and having my parents stripped away from me at the age of five”.

“This is so scary to me. Please stop this. Can you try to imagine the terror and panic these kids feel right now? Not knowing if their parents are dead or alive, if they’ll ever see them again.”
