New Avirex x Palace collaboration is yet another money grab with no purpose or motif
Palace appears to have improved its game through a fresh collaboration with Avirex, but truth be told, they only bring it down with cliché religious iconography; a tiresome image with no meaningful imprint. On the other hand, the aviation jacket brand, whose designs have long permeated the hip-hop scene, makes its partnership with the UK streetwear outfit a mistake.
Nothing Special
Avirex rarely misses, largely because, for the most part, its motivation lies in promoting its leather jacket range. This time, however, it may jump out for a few followers of the Palace moniker, but not many others.
Collaborations were, at first, unique and meant something, but now they’re simply for the sake of placing one label beside another. For a truly meaningful collaboration to take place, there needs to be a reason, or at least a set of alignments. This one (like many) is purposeless. The release drops this Friday 7th August 2026.
