Panda Bear Reveals A New Album Is Coming In 2025

Latest reveal coincides with a riveting new single titled ‘Defence’.

Musician Noah Lennox, also known as Panda Bear, has announced a new album titled ‘Sinister Grift’ for 2025. It will release alongside a collaborative tour with Tory y Moi.

It is the first reveal since his last album ‘Buoys’, and signals an exciting chapter for the soloist who is often described as an experimental pop artist. His name came from a time he drew pandas on cassette tapes he distributed to friends.

Album Influences

Speaking on the influences for the new project, Lennox said: “Noah and I first started putting music down to multitrack cassette in 1991.”

“32 years later and working in the same fashion, two friends alone in a room searching for sounds and feelings that move us, I am very proud of what we created together. Sinister Grift feels like the songwriter I’ve known for over 30 years but also feels like some sort of new chapter for Noah. Couldn’t be more proud of the result.”

New Single

To bolster fan enthusiasm, the singer has also revealed a new single with Cindy Lee titled ‘Defence’.

Partnering the new release is a psychedelic music video helping to augment its calming fresh ballad. It showcases his enduring vocals, with many quick to point out how consistent Lennox is.

The new song was recorded in his Lisbon studio and features Spirit of the Beehive’s Rivka Ravede as well as Animal Collective member “Deakin” Dibb.

Album Release Date and Pre-Orders

You can pre-save and stream his upcoming album on major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

A limited edition clear vinyl press along with a CD is set to be released on launch day which is slated for 28th February 2025.
