Electric India Co. are one of few organic acts within the music arena. Combining a uniform of folky sound with the allure of pop elements, they safely covet a space above a spectrum of intrigue for listeners looking for something new.
“Pomegranate” is their latest release, and, one that is highly anticipated for good reason. Prior drops have been of a significant standard, tempered with quality thanks to the time taken to record each volume.
What does the album sound like?
The album opens to their trademark vocals and percussion, and noticeable is a familiar ambience within the electric group’s vibe. Both welcoming and enchanting, it assists rumination for what feels like an anxious beginning; but in a good way.
Oftentimes the group find new ways to incarcerate attention, with a summoning to pinch nerves the brain never knew it had. Filtering a pleasant mind walk through an album of soft vocals and instrumental pangs, the group have safely hit another home run in “Pomegranate” where they gently tend to the needs of what feels like every listener.
