Filled with reminders of the emotional projection of the boom-bap subgenre, the duo’s latest outing acts as a magnet for those searching for the aforesaid.
Through descriptive language highlighting the monotony of public transport and repetitive life cycles, the rapper opens up further on his exploits supported by impressive wordplay over the enrichment of the musical production. It is a flawless release, the only caveat being that it could have been longer given the incredible makeup of “Hitting L’s.” Let’s hope the two tee up a second collaboration.
