UK rapper Renelle 893 returns with a stylistic approach to storytelling, featuring the talents Bay29

Last updated: 5th August 2025

Short and sweet lyricism, fashioned by a lustrous delivery is what separates Renelle 893 from his contemporaries. On his latest jaunt, he partners with producer Bay29, who samples snippets of Nas and Method Man’s vocals on the hook, enveloped by an artistic delivery helping to simmer a pensive journey into inner-city living. Filled with reminders of the emotional projection of the boom-bap subgenre, the duo’s latest outing acts as a magnet for those searching for the aforesaid.

Through descriptive language highlighting the monotony of public transport and repetitive life cycles, the rapper opens up further on his exploits supported by impressive wordplay over the enrichment of the musical production. It is a flawless release, the only caveat being that it could have been longer given the incredible makeup of “Hitting L’s.” Let’s hope the two tee up a second collaboration.
