Have social media users solved The Drama’s plot twist before its release?
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are gearing up to release their new film ‘The Drama‘, and its already throwing people off the loop. The comedy-drama, directed by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario) follows Emma Harwood and Charlie Tompson in an off-the-rails pre-wedding story…with a twist. The film also stars Mamoudou Athie and Alana Haim.
The Plot Twist
In the trailer, the couple sit at a dinner table discussing wedding ideas and stories, when Thompson’s friends recall a game of pre-nuptial questions: “What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?” Naturally, the answer isn’t revealed in the promotional clip, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating.
One user believes they’ve cracked the trailer’s code, linking it to a post by a Redditor who claims she allegedly manipulated her future husband, using psychological cues and orchestrated coincidences to make him fall for her, leading to their eventual marriage. Is it a reach? Certainly. Is it original? Inspired by real-life scenarios, I think it could be a possibility, even if the random connection is a stretch.
Hype-meter
We’re pretty excited for this movie, and considering A24 objected to disclosing the plot twist, the build-up is even more noteworthy. Shut up and take my money!
Release Date
The Drama will be released on the 3rd April 2026 for a cinematic run and will be distributed by A24 Films.
