New music this Friday gets smokey with the release of Ahadadream‘s “Bass Dhol” featuring Skrillex and Raf Sappera, a high-tempo exhaust of percussion, finesse, and a whammy of synths, courtesy of a trio of electronic music talent.

An Electronic Dhol Wonder

Laced with potent Punjabi dhol rhythms and a slap of South Asian vocals, “Bass Dhol” is propped by an escalator of no-breaks dancefloor snares against a facet-driven elasticity. Threaded through a cumbersome brace of studious attention, Skrillex‘s signature style can be heard through a delectable palate of collaboration.

The track has been in the works for some time, with a history spanning the last few years. Thanks to its skittish drums and pulsating basslines, the collaboration is an anthem of wonder. In a statement, the producer explained the history behind the track and its many revisions:

“The beginnings of Bass Dhol were back in early 2023, when Sonny invited me to work on music together in Miami. That’s when I played him some Raf Saperra too, he loved the vibe, and we thought he’d be perfect for this track.” He added, “Early versions of the track have been getting played since back then, so I’m super happy to finally see this officially going out into the world in its final form.”

Bass Dhol is available on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal via Interscope Capitol.
