AI technology company Anthropic, of Claude AI fame, will start banning users who are “cruel” to its AI

Take a hike, bozo! Anthropic has banned users from “sustained and needless” behaviour towards its models. This just takes the mick for a technology that has abused the arts for years without us knowing, training its models to thieve the intellectual property, blood, sweat and tears from millions of people who have put their heart and soul into mastering their art.

While we all sweat it out to see if the technology will wipe us all out and make us jobless, the state continues to fluff the pillows of AI firms and their respective leaders. Just roll out the red carpet for these witless Smaugs and their orc enforcers.

The Internet Is Perplexed

Dr Barry Scannell of Irish law firm William Fry agrees – on LinkedIn, he says “you can’t be cruel to numbers and maths”. Another anonymous user on Reddit said: “they can read their bank accounts but they can’t read the room,” while another said it’s “yet another example of profit over people”.

While they want us to use this technology, they also want to toy with us while offering respect for a faceless set of ones and zeros. If you haven’t already figured out what the authorities and corporations think of us, then surely this is the smoking gun? If not, perhaps look again.
