Born on October 3, 1973, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S., Black Thought is the lead rapper of hip-hop group The Roots, which he co-founded with drummer Questlove. Known for his hyper-detailed lyricism, fused with an array of immersive multisyllabic rhyme schemes, he has gained a reputation as the best rapper alive. Showing no signs of slowing down, the spitter continues to deliver both profound freestyles and solo work with rumoured The Roots music to be in the works.
