Central Cee shows promise through the EP’s lead single, but the fire quickly fizzles out
Last updated: 28 March 2026
Central Cee returns with a new EP, All Roads Lead Home, the first since his joint drop alongside rapper Dave, and his first project since Can’t Rush Greatness. There was promise in this new release, with a slight change of direction in its lead single, “Slaughter,” featuring J Hus.
All Roads Lead Home: Review
The Wild West rapper has cemented himself as a popular name, having struck a flurry of partnerships with household brands including Casio and New Era, and now he attempts to sustain his musical presence within the UK rap scene and beyond.

The release opens with two known songs, “Iceman Freestyle” and “Slaughter“, with the latter being the track to perk the ears of those who find him an acquired taste. It was an energy-driven effort in collaboration with J Hus, followed by “Wagwan“, where the rapper blows his own trumpet over an enjoyable snare-led production from Gusto and Lukasbl.
What follows, however, is a return to the formulaic and dreary deliveries that I hoped he would consign to the past. Full of predictable outcomes, All Roads Lead Home doesn’t fall far from recent works, and threatens Cee’s position as drill’s premier. While the new release is gritty and punchy, its notability is carried by his name alone.
The Verdict
While it’s perfectly okay to carry oneself with a style that identifies your vocal timbre, it becomes exhausting as succeeding tracks — “Feelings“, “DC10“, “Maka” (featuring A2ANTI), and “Y FI DAT” — trawl familiar sonics that fail to separate Cench from a foggy cloud of similar sounds. The West London rapper returns, but with nothing new to both say or show for it. It’s a shame, there might be something there, just not right now.
