New trailer for Travis Knight’s He-Man movie hits the internet
The Masters of the Universe world has been revived — though Jared Leto may be a problem. It looks both fun and tacky at the same time. Today, Mattel, the toy giant, releases the final trailer for He-Man’s latest outing, giving us a look into what we can expect.
Our Reaction
Mattel is certainly having a good year, having won contracts for new brands and resurrecting intellectual properties that would have likely been put out to pasture.
While I appreciate the complexity of filming such a fantasy driven story, without a doubt, the CGI looks to be a tad overdone.

Contemporary filmmakers often forget that, once a film finishes its theatrical tour, the next stage of its lifestyle will be Blu-Ray and streaming platforms. The problem? Audiences will see through the visage and likely balk at the monstrosity of poorly rendered effects.
For starters, Skeletor needn’t have been brought to life in such a way, and the landscape could have been a little different — the use of real world locations would have been more appealing.
Aside from a few cliché lines, it looks like we may have some fun at the cinema this summer. With Idris Elba starring alongside Nicholas Galitzine as Man-At-Arms, it seems to be that director Travis Knight (Bumblebee) has done his due diligence. Though don’t get your hopes up — Amazon is behind this.
Release Date
The film is slated for a summer June 5th 2026 release.
