Wagner group said to be in control of key military city of Rostov-on-Don.

Following months of difficult relationships between the Kremlin and Wagner group, the mercenary arm of Moscow is said to have started plans to advance on the Russian capital.

President Vladimir Putin has allegedly set up roadblocks around the capital to fortify positions though this has not been verified as of yet.

Wagner group is said to have fallen out with Putin of late, with the paramilitary group complaining of both hardware and support for their activities in Ukraine.

Putin has called the actions “treason” but stopped short of naming the group’s leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.
