It’s amazing when far-right figures like Gadot are boycotted
1 minute read
Gal Gadot feels her Snow White film bombed because of pro-Palestine sentiment. She’s right, and that’s a wonderful thing.
Gal Gadot Comments
In an interview with television programme The A Talks, the Israeli actress said:
“Then October 7 happened, and what’s happening in all kinds of industries, and also in Hollywood, is that there’s a lot of pressure on celebrities to speak out against Israel.”
However, history says otherwise. Many pro-Palestine celebrities are routinely removed as first choice, often outcasted due to their position on the matter.
Gadot also said:
“I can always explain and try to give context about what’s happening here. But in the end, people decide for themselves.”
But discourse is never balanced; Hollywood has always favoured Israeli propaganda due to its members’ extensive subscription to Zionism.

And now, the jewel in the crown comment:
“People are boycotting my movies just because I support Israel. It’s not fair.”
Gal, it is fair; if you drop your favouritism for a clear invading force, a settler, colonialist regime — people may just support you. No one embraced Nazi movies, so why should Israeli stocked media be any different?
The Snow White movie didn’t achieve box-office success for two reasons:
- It is terrible
- Gal Gadot is in it
These two facts are glorious reasons to spend your precious moments on other pastimes.
Final Thoughts
For years, Israel has weaponised popular media to disenfranchise millions, and to justify their religious extremism in order to carry out acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing. The tables have turned — research and popular news media is easily accessible, and that makes justice for Palestinians more achievable. That is fair.
