Opinion: Donald Trump’s unhinged rants and strange letters make the world unpredictable
It’s clear we’re dealing with a darkness we did not anticipate. Donald Trump has never been a friend to the world when history is taken into account, and any such alliance with him has always been rooted in desperation and/or bigotry.
Since his presidency began, his very nature has been to control all he comes into contact with. And if that fails, control is replaced with destruction.
The Norway Letter
There’s no clearer indication regarding the US president’s mental state than his recent letter to the Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The note makes for strange reading, and underlines a need for congress to take immediate action. In it, Trump blames his recent actions and threats are directly linked to his Nobel Peace Prize snub:
“Dear Jonas:
Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America.
Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents; it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.
I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now NATO should do something for the United States.
The world is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.

The Invasion of Greenland
His kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro effectively initiated a robbery, in which the theft of natural resources quickly replaced the accusation of narco-trafficking. Now, as he looks to invade and occupy Greenland, it seems Trump has awakened the drums of history.

His obsession with the Nobel Peace Prize is widely cited as a motivating factor to invade and wreak havoc across the world. Having been caught on film repeating the phrase, ‘Nobel prize. Nobel Prize,’ like it’s some sort of spell he is conjuring, clearly under the influence of cognitive decline — grounds to investigate his removal from office. This is not hyperbole: the man is unhinged and ready to instigate World War III. Ironic given his accusations against Volodomyr Zelensky at the White House last year.
When pressed on whether he would invade Greenland without a resolution, he simply replied “No Comment“. That is the mark of a demon in politics, and the cowardice of world leaders to counter him only fuels his momentum. It’s either now or never.
