Jeffrey Atkins, better known as Ja Rule, and Marvin Bernard (Tony Yayo) settled in before realising they were literally in front and behind one another.
Following a long-running feud between Ja Rule and 50 Cent’s G-Unit crew, of which Yayo is a member, their beef is still cooking.
A verbal confrontation ensued, with witnesses reporting shouting and insults. In the video, Yayo can be heard calling Rule “suck ass.” The Murda Inc. rapper claims he threw a pillow, after which staff temporarily removed them from the flight.
This led to Bernard and a friend enjoying the spoils of their argument, as they stretched their legs following the Livin’ It Up rapper’s relocation.
50 Cent & Ja Rule Beef Explained
The feud between 50 Cent’s G-Unit and Ja Rule goes as far back as the 1990s, rooted in personal disputes and affiliations. Fifty also claimed Ja was part of a 2000 robbery attempt against him, catalysing further diss tracks and a very public rivalry. This even influenced Rule’s decision to pivot from his more radio-friendly persona to a more aggressive tone in hip-hop.
