Vibrant wordplay
Having your head filled with the tropes of an inexplicably clownish TikTok and Instagram feed usually renders its users brainwashed by its content. It creates expectations and frustrations, as opposed to amplification in today’s world, a trumpet blown here by Del Villar II.
He underscores the pompous and ridiculous culture of social media personalities, letting loose a vibrant pattern of wordplay. Emphasising his ideals over a score of neutrality, albeit decorated somewhat to enhance a precise language, he lands blow after blow, documenting the ludicrous world of trends and an internet circus. Well, that’s what I take from it, as it exhibits a language and behaviour prevalent in society, which inspires a world marked by bitterness and status chasing.
“Need a woman” presents evocative language that can be applied to much of society, not just one gender. This is one to hear.
