Diminutive Arthur lays fresh hip-hop music as the two rappers drop powerful rhymes
Manchester based rappers Jubbz and The Philosopher are two of rap’s underdogs, and their new tune, “Down”, produced by Diminutive Arthur releases that same force. Their camaraderie yields a sound crafted from a love of the game and consistency of form and continues on the new single.
What “Down” Sounds Like
Rooted in themes of loyalty and “perseverance”, Arthur’s weighty track strokes it with rhythm allowing the two rappers to unleash bars of valiant energy.
The Philosopher shared how the single came to be during a studio session with the two: “DA and Jubbz were playing this tune. He only had the first verse and as soon as it ended, I automatically started humming this hook and was like, “YOOO, let me do the hook on this sad, slow one.”
