Opinion: Lunatic leaders and a revolutionary new dawn: This is why Donald Trump and the United States are acting up
The USA continues to sabre-rattle in its pursuit of global respect, thanks to the renegade actions of Donald Trump and his MAGA cronies. The world watches on in anticipation as a man whose hope that distractions from his appearance in the Epstein files will bear fruit. For now, it’s working.
Trump Lost His Mind A Long Time Ago
Trump’s approval rating is dangerously low. With appearances in the Epstein files rumoured to be in the thousands, it lends credence to the possibility that his abuse of power as president of the United States is being used to solder the cracks of an untenable position. Motivated by an indubitable fall, believe him when he says he will seek a third term, especially with an arsenal of weapons at his disposal.
NATO Fracture and Occupation Dreamland
Even if Greenland is invaded, NATO will fracture, and the United States will find itself isolated both economically and militarily. Washington’s use of unjust force is largely a reckless indictment of its motivations, mostly for oil.

When it has invaded and “occupied” nations, it comes with a caveat. Its so-called control of Afghanistan and Iraq, for example, was misplaced and oversold to the public. It failed to occupy Afghanistan, controlling only Helmand province and Kabul, with the rest remained under Taliban rule.
In Iraq, instability quickly left the US forces under constant pressure as former Iraqi army personnel and extremist insurgents attacked them daily. Will Nuuk’s administration fall so easily? Only time will tell. But is the Pentagon willing to gamble on another war?
The Greenland Question
His creeping move to annex Greenland from Denmark feels incredibly off. Not only is it something you’d expect from someone whose actions include deploying the National Guard onto the streets of his own country, but its motivations smell of baneful Mordor ambition.
RELATED STORY: Nicolás Maduro Captured in Overnight US Raid on Venezuela
It would not in the slightest faze me if someone else’s hands were all over this; the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the potential land grab of Greenland are so wildly different. Either that, or dementia is the answer. This is Trump’s midterm midlife crisis; he knows he is on his way out, and he is doing everything he can do before he is, so to speak, put out to pasture.
What Can One Do?
Millions are already boycotting American goods, and while this is a great start, many will inevitably fall off the wagon as time goes by. In some cases, it’s not feasible. However, the top five exports of the United States remain petroleum and crude oil, aerospace products, vehicle parts, machinery, and pharmaceuticals. All of these can be easily replaced, but whether or not our leaders have the courage to step away from these imports is another question.
The best way to take the bull by the horns is through targeted boycotts. Pick five things you can live without and avoid them like the plague. For example, many buy products from Coca-Cola, Pepsi, McDonald‘s, KFC, Starbucks, Nike, etc. But these are poor-quality choices anyway. There are far better options available and better value for money, too.
Either way, this is a potent wake-up call, caffeine and all, to consume fewer American products and buy into ourselves. Much of what it produces we can live without anyway.
